How does a concrete screed work?
Concrete must be screeded or smoothed out after it comes from the concrete truck. One way to spread concrete is with a conventional 2″ X 4″ piece of lumber. Traditionally, two crew members are on the ends of the screed board “sawing” the board back and forth to compact the concrete and also to insure a flat surface.
